Projects shaped by artistic thinking, collective learning and public participation.

BlindNature 2018 & SinnSinn 2020

Two projects explored how different forms of perception shape our relationship with nature and the world around us.

Working together with blind, visually impaired and sighted participants, the project focused on inclusion as a shared experience rather than a predefined condition. Through collective exploration, workshops and research, we developed formats that made diverse sensory experiences tangible and accessible while encouraging new ways of experiencing nature and public space.

Through five sensory themes — smell, taste, touch, listening and navigation — the project explored alternative ways of experiencing nature beyond visual perception. The workshops brought together blind, visually impaired and sighted participants through shared experiences, fostering new perspectives on accessibility, inclusion and the diversity of human perception.

In collaboration with the German Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted (DBSV). Supported by Aktion Mensch, Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin and Stiftung Inklusion.

Perception & Participation

Ideas into Practice

SEE UP / weißensee academy of art berlin
2017–2020

Working with graduates from different artistic disciplines, the workshops focused on project development, self-organization and future perspectives. Through collective reflection and practical tools, participants were encouraged to shape their own paths and translate ideas into sustainable forms of practice.

Radeln in die Zukunft

Herzberg (Elster), 2020–2021

How can a town be shaped by the people who live there? As part of the participatory project Radeln in die Zukunft, workshops, conversations and community activities invited residents to reflect on the future of their town and contribute their own ideas, experiences and perspectives. Bringing together people of different ages, backgrounds and interests, the project created opportunities for dialogue around mobility, public space, community life and local development.

Rather than focusing on predefined solutions, the process encouraged collective exploration and active participation. Through creative methods and collaborative formats, residents were invited to imagine possibilities, identify local strengths and engage with the places they inhabit in new ways.

Community & Exchange

Hausen – art residency

Founded in 2005, Hausen grew from the idea of creating a place where artistic practice, hospitality and everyday life could meet. What began as a self-organized initiative developed into a residency and cultural space that brings together artists, neighbours and visitors through shared experiences, public events and collaborative projects.

Exhibitions, workshops, communal dinners and cultural gatherings create opportunities for exchange between different generations, professions and backgrounds. Through this ongoing practice, Hausen connects artistic work with local communities and everyday cultural participation.

Depot Café

From 2022 to 2025, a café at Depot in Vienna provided an informal space where cultural discourse could extend beyond events, exhibitions and lectures. It offered a welcoming environment for conversation, exchange and unexpected encounters, bringing together people from different backgrounds, generations and professional fields.

As a place situated between everyday life and cultural practice, the café encouraged participation through presence rather than expertise. Whether visitors came for a discussion, a coffee or simply to spend time, it became a space where relationships, ideas and connections could develop naturally.
